A little history
Towards the end of the 10th century, the seigneury entered the domain of the Aynard family. According to a charter from the Cartulaire de Grenoble, Aynard II, grandson of Rodolphe, indicates that the donations, including Domène, would have been made by the bishop of Grenoble, Isarn. The Aynard de Domène are given as ancestors of the family de Monteynard. A maison forte stood on the territory of the commune in 1353, described as the Véherie « domum suam fortem de Domena ».
