A little history
Coulans is the seat of an ancient barony dependent on the comté de La Suze. The land of Coulans belonged during the Middle Ages to the family of Baudouin de Champagne. On 10 December 1750, the great bell of the parish was cast in Le Mans by Jean Baptiste Le Brun, a metal founder of Lorraine origin, and paid for at 135 livres.
