A little history
A true gateway from the Rhône valley towards the Massif central, Chomérac was inhabited very early. From the middle Palaeolithic, people settled in the caves. The Romans also occupied Chomérac, with remains of tegulae, villae and a Roman road. Chomérac was badly affected by the Wars of Religion.
