A little history
Chevry-Cossigny (named for the first time Capriacum-Cossiniacum) is formed of two former parishes, Chevry and Cossigny, from which the abbaye Notre-Dame d'Yerres collected the tithes. The two villages date back to the 12th century. Each had a manor and a church. The first lords of Chevry were those who took the name of the locality.
