The inhabitants are called Changéens. The commune is part of the historic province of Maine, and is located in the Bas-Maine.
A little history
Changé absorbed the commune of Changé-Oriental between 1806 and 1820, and partially (with Laval) the commune of Grenoux in 1863. Changé hosted the headquarters of the independent weekly L'Avenir agricole from 1944 until it ceased publication in 2020.
