Exposée à un climat océanique altéré, elle est drainée par le Loir, le ruisseau de l'Étang Chaud, la Vallée de Reuse, la Vallée du Gros Caillou, la Vallée de la Hacquenée et divers autres petits cours d'eau. Incluse dans le parc naturel régional du Perche, la commune possède un patrimoine naturel remarquable composé de deux sites Natura 2000 et trois zones naturelles d'intérêt écologique, faunistique et floristique.
