A little history
Traces of Neolithic remains dating from 2100–1800 BC have been found there. From the 11th century to the 13th century, the land of Carqueiranne belonged to the seigneurie de Fos, and in the 15th century it was given by the good King René to Jean-Baptiste de Morance. It was this lord who co-signed, as a witness, the deed of the first codicil of Charles III, bequeathing Provence to Louis XI, King of France.
