A little history
A seigneury, successively belonging to the Villeneuve and then the Grasse families, who built the château currently in ruins, then to the Rafélis and finally to the de Lisle-Callian family. The history of the town is illustrated by its baroque church and its two châteaux. The château was built in the 12th and 13th centuries and housed the families of the seigneury of Grasse. The chapelle des Pénitents, initially built as a castle chapel in the 15th century, was transformed into a parish church when the village developed around its protective château.
