Its inhabitants are called the Beuillois (or Buelhenc in Vivaro-Alpine). The commune has the winter sports resort of Beuil-Les Launes at the col de Sainte-Anne, just above the village, which together with the communes of Péone and Guillaumes forms the resort of Valberg.
