A little history
The merger of the former communes of Vallouise and Pelvoux, requested by concordant deliberations of their municipal councils on 29 June 2016 in order to benefit from financial assistance granted by the State, was confirmed by a prefectoral order of 5 September 2016 which took effect on 1 January 2017, granting the status of commune déléguée to the former local authorities.
