Val-de-Reuil is a commune located in the département of Eure, in the Normandie region. It is one of the nine new towns created in France at the end of the 1960s and is sometimes cited as the most recent French commune created ex nihilo in 1981, as before that date its population was non-existent. A little history
The territory of the commune of Vaudreuil was home to one of the nine new towns initiated from 1965 and created by the law of 10 July 1970. Their objective was, under the terms of the law of 13 July 1983, to ensure a better social, economic and human balance in regions with a high concentration of population, by offering opportunities for employment and housing, as well as public and private facilities.
