Val-de-Reuil is a commune located in the département of Eure, in the Normandie region. It is one of the nine new towns created in France at the end of the 1960s and is sometimes cited as the most recent French commune created ex nihilo in 1981, as before that date its population was non-existent. Since then, other communes have also been created by separation but, unlike Val-de-Reuil, their population was already established.
