Trouy is a French commune situated in the Cher department in the Centre-Val de Loire region. Exposed to an altered oceanic climate, it is drained by the Rampenne. The commune possesses a remarkable natural heritage composed of one Natura 2000 site.
A little history
The chapter of Montermoyen de Bourges dating from 1017 is the oldest known mention. The Séminaire de Bourges took over after the suppression of that chapter by decree of 9 January 1674 by the archbishop of Bourges. During the Second World War, the demarcation line cut Trouy-bourg into two parts, the built-up area was in the occupied zone and the part further to the south was in the free zone. The crossing points were established at the junction of the route d'Arçay and the Subdray road as well as at the junction of the Plaimpied road and the route d'Arçay. The town hall and the school were situated in the occupied zone.
