A little history
The village is mentioned in written records from the fourteenth century onwards. However, a Geffroy de Thorigné [Gaufridus de Taurinaca] is referred to as early as 1086, when he witnessed the donation of the church of Mouazé to the Abbaye de Saint-Melaine. In 1174, Maurice, abbé de Rillé, subscribed to the agreement reached between Guillaume, abbé de Saint-Melaine, and Josselin, abbé de Savigny, concerning the tithes of the parish of Thorigné. In 1400, the territory contained three noble manors, the manoir du Plessis, the manoir du Seigneur de Guénour, and that of the Landelles.
