A little history
A Roman villa excavated at Aux Grands Moignants by Brisson was occupied from the 2nd to the 4th century. There is a Merovingian necropolis at the Faubourg de Vindey. At the end of the 11th century, the comte de Blois Étienne-Henri took the château de Sézanne, which had been built by the seigneur de Broyes, Hugues Bardoul. In the 16th century, Jacqueline d'Estouteville is mentioned as chastellaine de Sezanne en Brie (ADSM 2B487)[pas clair].
