Séranon is a French commune situated in the département des Alpes-Maritimes, in the region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. Its inhabitants are called the Séranonnaises and the Séranonnais.
A little history
On 6 May 1348, Gabriel de Salvagiis was lord of Séranon. This lord was certainly the chamberlain of Jeanne Ire de Naples, comtesse de Provence and queen of Naples, in 1348. During the Second World War, abbé Daniel Goens, of Belgian nationality, was sent to Séranon as a mountain priest in 1939. He transformed the presbytery of the église Notre-Dame into a high-altitude home for children.
