A little history
The existence of the parish of Sceaux is recorded for the first time in a deed of 1203, which states that the parish of Ceaux was detached from that of Châtenay on which it had previously depended, the latter itself falling under the chapter of Notre-Dame de Paris. The first church of Sceaux was built in 1214.
