Saintigny is a new French commune resulting from the merger, on 1 January 2019, of the communes of Frétigny and Saint-Denis-d'Authou, situated in the département of Eure-et-Loir in the région of Centre-Val de Loire. Exposed to a degraded oceanic climate, it is drained by the Cloche, the Thironne, the Mazure, the Vinette and various other small watercourses. Included within the parc naturel régional du Perche, the commune possesses a remarkable natural heritage comprising two Natura 2000 sites and seven natural areas of ecological, faunal and floral interest.

The commune was formed by the merger on 1 January 2019 of the communes of Frétigny and Saint-Denis-d'Authou (prefectoral order of 19 December 2018).
