A little history
Sainte-Geneviève was established near an ancient Acheulean site. The Roman road from Paris to Beauvais passed through the location of the hamlet of la Croix. An Hôtel-Dieu was founded in the Middle Ages in 1333 by Jean d'Osmont and his wife Jeanne de Maignier, with a chapel dedicated to Saint Hubert. In 1579, whilst the hamlet of Novilliers still fell under the parish of Sainte-Geneviève, the curé of Sainte-Geneviève was deprived of an annual due, for the benefit of his vicar established at Novilliers.
