A little history
In Antiquity, a secondary Roman route, coming from the via Domitia to join Cruis, passed through the commune. The Sogiontiques (Sogiontii) populated the mountain of Lure, being federated to the Voconces. After the Conquest, they were attached along with them to the Roman province of Narbonnaise. In the 2nd century, this people was detached from the Voconces and formed a distinct civitas, with Segustero (Sisteron) as its capital.
