A little history
The allée couverte de La Roche-aux-Fées situated nearby suggests that the region was inhabited as early as the late Neolithic period (around 3000 to 2500 BC, or even 3500 to 3000 BC). La Pierre de Richebourg is a menhir situated in the south-eastern part of the commune. A ruined dolmen and an upright menhir also existed at the lieu-dit Pierrelet. They are mentioned in 1883 in the Inventaire des monuments mégalithiques du département d'Ille-et-Vilaine.
