A little history
Le Bourg-Saint-Andéol stands on the site of the ancient Bergoiata, a city of the Helviens. The seigneury, from a feudal point of view, Pierrelatte was a land (or seigneury) over which the counts of Provence acquired certain rights in 1156. The land was for a long time shared amongst several co-seigneurs. In 1211, the co-seigneurs were the Pierrelate, the Saint-Just, the Saint-Pasteur, the Sérignan, the Boucoiran, the Vétulus and the bishop of Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux.
