A little history
The seigneury, from a feudal point of view, had its territory forming part of the seigneury of Pizançon (see the commune of Chatuzange-le-Goubet). Attested in 1033, the monks of the chapter of the collégiale Saint-Barnard de Romans-sur-Isère (situated on the right bank, to the north of the Isère) built a bridge making it possible to cross the river. The development of the town would be owed to this bridge.
