Peyrins, the town
Peyrins covers 25.2 km², lies between 175 and 434 m above sea level and had 2,613 inhabitants in the 2023 census.

A little history
The château and the mandement are attested in 1078, well after the knights of Pairiano. Regarding the feudal point of view, the land (or seigneurie) of Peyrins does not include Génissieux and Saint-Ange, but only the parishes of Mours and Peyrins, plus a part of the banlieue and the faubourgs of Romans and, before 1658, a part of the commune of Saint-Paul-lès-Romans. It was a possession of the François de Royans. In 1262, the land was paid homage to the dauphins.
