The commune of Mondeville has been the subject of numerous excavations. The first site of human occupation on the current territory of Mondeville was a village uncovered by excavations at the delle Saint-Martin (the location of the current ZI Henri-Spriet) near a rural estate situated on the territory of Cagny. The earliest traces of occupation date back to the Neolithic, then to the Bronze Age, with ceramics from the final Bronze Age III (8th century BC) and a rudimentary hearth used from the Hallstatt period to the beginning of the Tène.
