A little history
On 11 August 407, Dinault, a Christian child aged 12 to 13, is said to have been beheaded by the Vandals near a fountain between Milly and Moimont. The first mention of Milly is found in the Charte de Théodetrude of 627, by which this daughter of Brodulf made a gift of the villa de Migiachis in the pagus beauvaisin to the abbaye de Saint-Denis. The fortress is not mentioned before the 12th century. It was razed in 1442 by the comte d'Étampes, then governor of Picardie, to put an end to the brigandage of the bands of Pierre Regnault who occupied it.
