A little history
The commune of Milhaud is situated on the route of the voie Domitienne. The village was the possession of the counts of Toulouse, of Simon de Montfort, then of the bishops of Nîmes. These bishops possessed at Milhaud a vast château surrounded by moats and flanked by tall towers. The bishop Jean IV de Blauzac had major repairs carried out there from 1348 to 1361.
