A little history
Around the year one thousand, Lus-la-Croix-Haute belonged to the seigneury of Trièves, the property of the former comtes de Diois. From a feudal standpoint, Lus-la-Croix-Haute was a land (or seigneury) forming part of the patrimony of the former comtes de Diois (later the bishops of Die). In 1297, a portion belonged to the Artaud family. In 1344, a portion belonged to the Montauban family. The entirety was acquired by Guillaume de Poitiers, seigneur de Barry. In 1464, it was confiscated and given to François d'Eurre, a favourite of King Louis XI.
