A little history
In 1909, quarry workers found beneath a block of granite a hoard of bronze objects containing, among other things, socketed axes and flanged axes in jade and flint, dating from the Bronze Age. The entirety of the objects found was acquired by the Musée de Laval. Near the village of Logier, Celtic axes, Gaulish coins, coffins in shelly limestone containing cinerary urns, gold objects and English coins from the 15th century have been found. Two Roman roads cross at Pierrelée in Louvigné-du-Désert.
