Les Premiers Sapins is a French commune situated in the département of Doubs, the cultural and historical region of Franche-Comté and the administrative region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. It is a new commune created on 1 January 2016 by the merger of the six communes of the former communauté de communes des Premiers Sapins.
A little history
Created on 1 January 2016 by a prefectural order of 30 November 2015, it resulted from the transformation into a commune of the communauté de communes des Premiers Sapins, which was dissolved. It is composed of Athose, Chasnans, Hautepierre-le-Châtelet, Nods, Rantechaux and Vanclans, which are delegated communes of the new commune whose seat is at Nods. On 1 January 2017, the commune was attached to the communauté de communes du Pays de Pierrefontaine-Vercel, which was renamed in May 2017 the communauté de communes des Portes du Haut-Doubs.
