A little history
The site of the Mourre du Diable yielded the remains of a Neolithic burial under a tumulus, along with significant funerary objects. A Gallo-Roman dedicatory inscription was found, reused, in one of the walls of the ferme Saint-Estève. Probably founded around the 7th century, this comtadine town has to this day retained a few vestiges of its past. The château du Thor and the fortified enclosure were built in several stages, first in the early 13th century and then at the end of the 14th century.
