A little history
Roman rubbish dump (1st century to 3rd century), with funerary lamps. The lordship, from a feudal point of view, Lachau was a land of the barons of Mévouillon. From 1209, it was in the possession of a cadet branch of this family known by the name of Raybaud or Raimbaud de Lachau, who that same year granted the inhabitants of Lachau municipal freedoms. Around 1247, it passed (by marriage) to the Adhémar family.
