La Loupe is a French commune situated in the département of Eure-et-Loir, in the Centre-Val de Loire region. Exposed to an altered oceanic climate, it is drained by the stream of the ancien Étang de Pot de Vin and two small watercourses. The commune is included in the parc naturel régional du Perche.
A little history
See in the section "Lieux et monuments", château de La Loupe. The commune adopted the coat of arms of the famille d'Angennes, adding to it the gros chêne (a curiosity on the route de Rémalard) as well as the croix de guerre in memory of the 1944 bombardment. Under the Ancien Régime, La Loupe depended on the bailliage principal de Chartres, on the gouvernement militaire and on the généralité d'Orléans. In spiritual matters, the parish depended on the diocèse de Chartres, the archidiaconé de Chartres and the doyenné du Perche.
