A little history
The site of Jonquières was at that time a marshland, and only a few Hallstatt weapons were found scattered about. During the draining of part of the marsh, in the course of the 18th century, on the site of Beauregard, a terracotta jar was found containing 191 silver coins. Two came from Massalia, and the other 189 were Celtic. Struck on the obverse with the laureate head of Apollon and on the reverse with a horse's head, they bore the inscription FELIKOVEST.
