A little history
In 2020, the oldest hunting pits identified at that time in the plain of Caen were excavated on the site of the zone d'aménagement concerté du chemin de Clopée, to the north of the commune. They date back to the Mesolithic or the early Neolithic (6,000–5,000 years before our era). The excavation also yielded four funerary groups from the early Bronze Age. One of these groups contains two very large tombs and around ten more modest ones associated with an exceptional tomb described as "princière", dated to 1,800–1,600 years before our era, which relates to the culture of the Tumulus armoricains of the Bronze Age armoricain.
