A little history
Gallo-Roman remains were discovered at the lieu-dit La Mare à Saulx. Formerie was one of the four baronies of the vidame de Gerberoy. The lords had the right of high, middle and low justice, with a bailli and subordinate officers to exercise it. Appeals against the sentences of this court were made before the bailliage d'Amiens, at the royal prévôté de Beauvais, sitting at Grandvilliers.
