Crevin is a French commune situated in the département of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Bretagne. It is located around twenty kilometres south of Rennes, in the Pays des Vallons-de-Vilaine. The commune was awarded the national label Village étape in 2019.
A little history
Two Gallo-Roman sites have been located at Beauchêne and at les Tertres. The remains of a feudal motte with a bailey, surrounded by ditches, dating from the 11th or 12th century, are found at la Penderie, in the bois de Ferchaud, near a former iron-working site. The site of la Cochetière is thought to have been the residence of Harcufle de Poligné in 1189. The manoir de la Cochetière (or Hallegrouyère, initially Halle-Grouyère) already existed in the 15th century.
