Cloyes-les-Trois-Rivières has been, since 1 January 2017, a new French commune situated in the département of Eure-et-Loir in the Centre-Val de Loire region. It is the result of the merger of nine former communes, Autheuil, Charray, Cloyes-sur-le-Loir, Douy, La Ferté-Villeneuil, Le Mée, Montigny-le-Gannelon, Romilly-sur-Aigre and Saint-Hilaire-sur-Yerre. Exposed to an altered oceanic climate, it is drained by the Loir, the bras du Loir, the Aigre, the Yerre, the Torrent, the Egvonne and various other small watercourses.
A little history
On 1 January 2017, the communes of Autheuil, Charray, Cloyes-sur-le-Loir, Douy, La Ferté-Villeneuil, Le Mée, Montigny-le-Gannelon, Romilly-sur-Aigre and Saint-Hilaire-sur-Yerre merged and became delegated communes. The seat of the new commune is located at Cloyes-sur-le-Loir.
