A little history
Certain local scholars consider that Pope Innocent V (late 13th century), sometimes called Pierre de Champagny or Champagnon ("de Campagniaco" according to the abbé Besson, Histoire ecclésiastique des diocèses de Genève, Tarentaise, Aoste et Maurienne, p. 240) or more commonly known as Pierre de Tarentaise, was born there, in the hamlet of Friburge. However, the pontiff is more likely to have been born in Tarentaise in Bourgogne or alternatively in Tarentaise in Bas-Forez.

Selling in Champagny-en-Vanoise
Pricing in Champagny-en-Vanoise starts by placing your property inside the €5,098 to €6,706 band rather than on the median alone. The median describes the middle of the market; condition, floor, outdoor space and energy rating decide where in the band you sit.
With 30 sales a year, Champagny-en-Vanoise is regular without being deep. Positioning matters more here than in a dense market, because a buyer who steps back is not immediately replaced.

Buying in Champagny-en-Vanoise
Reading the €5,098 to €6,706 band is a buyer’s main tool in Champagny-en-Vanoise. A property at the bottom is not a bargain and one at the top is not a rip-off, the band measures how different the properties are, not how well they are priced.
Prices moving up narrow the room for negotiation without closing it, a property that has been on the market a long time is negotiable whatever the trend says.
Acquisition costs are budgeted on top of the price, around 8 % on an existing property, around 3 % on a new one. These are orders of magnitude; the notary computes the exact amount.
