A little history
From as early as the 6th century, traces of Chambly can be found in Merovingian administration. Its territory stretches from Méru to Ully-Saint-Georges, Viarmes, L'Isle-Adam and Nesles-la-Vallée. In the 9th century, the massacres carried out by the Normans travelling up the Oise disrupted the region and the Carolingian administration. In the Middle Ages, Chambly was an agricultural and industrial land known by the name of Hauberger.
