A little history
The occupation of the site during the Gallo-Roman period is attested by the discovery of construction remains in the north of the commune, in the rue des Combots, during the development of the Les Grands Prés housing estate in the nineteen-seventies. Unfortunately not reported at the time, these remains were not studied, but according to the descriptions made, a hypocaust that may bear witness to the establishment of a Roman villa was identified in the rue des Blotets. Blazon, or with three cinquefoils gules. As a symbolic composition, this shield recalls the coat of arms of Jean d'Avanne.
