Auneuil is a new French commune situated in the département de l'Oise in the région Hauts-de-France, created on 1 January 2017 by the merger of the two former communes of Auneuil and Troussures, which now have the status of communes déléguées.
A little history
The commune was crossed by a Roman road coming from Beauvais. At Bocteau, where tiles from an ancient building were discovered, it forked. One road led to Gisors via Porcheux, the other via Loconville and Liancourt joined the Paris–Rouen road and is indicated on the Itinéraire d'Antonin. Traces of a Gallo-Roman villa were found near an isolated farm, and Roman remains were found at the lieu-dit Terre Nitot. At the lieu-dit la Croix des Pères to the north of the station, a sarcophagus was discovered containing objects dating from the early Middle Ages.
