Antony, the town
Antony covers 9.6 km², lies between 45 and 103 m above sea level and had 64,263 inhabitants in the 2023 census.
Antony is a French commune situated in the département of Hauts-de-Seine, of which it is a sub-prefecture, in the Île-de-France region, within the métropole du Grand Paris. Until 1968, Antony was part of the département de la Seine. Watered by the Bièvre, a tributary of the Seine, Antony is situated at a crossroads of very important roads, notably the great north-south axis, which already existed 2,000 years ago.
A little history
Antony has a long history beginning in the 3rd century during the Gallo-Roman era. The history of the commune is intertwined with that of the royal domain established from the 10th century by the Capetian kings, giving rise to the Île-de-France region. Antony was the principal dependency of the Parisian abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Près. In 872, King Charles le Chauve confirmed the ownership of Antoniacum to the abbey.

Selling in Antony
Pricing in Antony starts by placing your property inside the €4,111 to €6,152 band rather than on the median alone. The median describes the middle of the market; condition, floor, outdoor space and energy rating decide where in the band you sit.
With 714 sales a year, Antony absorbs correctly priced properties. An over-ambitious price shows quickly, because buyers have points of comparison.
Briveo values your Antony property from the same DVF file, keeping only sales of comparable properties closest to your address, free of charge and with no obligation, then supports the sale through to the deed.
Buying in Antony
Reading the €4,111 to €6,152 band is a buyer’s main tool in Antony. A property at the bottom is not a bargain and one at the top is not a rip-off, the band measures how different the properties are, not how well they are priced.
Acquisition costs are budgeted on top of the price, around 8 % on an existing property, around 3 % on a new one. These are orders of magnitude; the notary computes the exact amount.
Prices moving up narrow the room for negotiation without closing it, a property that has been on the market a long time is negotiable whatever the trend says.
