A little history
The greater part of this chapter was written using information from the musée d'Allauch. Remains from the Couronnian culture were uncovered on the territory of the commune. They allow the dates of the first settlements to be established as between -3200 and -2500. Greek or Etruscan objects appear in the 6th century, that is to say a century after those from the region of Martigues where the first significant exchanges are thought to have taken place with those who would go on to establish the Greek settlement of the region.
