A Neolithic hilltop site was studied at the Jas des Chèvres in 1978. In the quarter of Beauvoir, Raymond Vallentin du Cheylard published in the Cahiers Rhôdaniens (IV, 1957, p. 70) the complete results of his uncle's excavations of the sanctuary of the mother goddesses. Allan is situated on the former voie Agrippa.
