Aillon-le-Jeune is a French commune located in the département of Savoie, in the region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.
A little history
As early as 1804, Aillon was already divided into two parishes. To the north of the valley lay Aillon-le-Vieux, where the old church dedicated to saint Donat stands, and to the south lay Aillon-le-Jeune, where a new church dedicated to Notre-Dame de l'Assomption was then erected. It was built at the crossroads of the road leading to the chartreuse d'Aillon and the road climbing to the col des Prés. Built in the neo-Romanesque style, it was completed in 1806. The administrative division of the two communes was not officially confirmed until three years after the Annexation of Savoie, in 1863.
