A little history
The site of the falaises de Prépoux presents at least ten archaeological levels of prehistoric occupation from the Neolithic period through to the metal ages. One or two villages and a necropolis were built on the site as early as the late period of the rubanée culture (initial phase of the culture of Villeneuve-Saint-Germain). A camp forms part of the culture of Cerny (second half of the 5th millennium BC).
