Vicq-sur-Mer is a French commune situated in the département of Manche in the region of Normandie. It was created on 1 January 2016 under the status of commune nouvelle by the merger of Cosqueville, Gouberville, Néville-sur-Mer and Réthoville, and its chief town is at Cosqueville.
A little history
The commune nouvelle was created by a prefectoral order of 4 December 2015 which came into effect on 1 January 2016 at the request of the municipal councils of Cosqueville, Gouberville, Néville-sur-Mer and Réthoville and which decided their merger. The status of commune déléguée was abolished in March 2020 by decision of the municipal council.
