A little history
In the Gallo-Roman period, a village was situated at the end of the valley in the quartier d'Arlane. Fragments of grey granite columns were found there, along with the ruins of former buildings occupying a vast area, and coins from the Marseille republic, the Roman Republic and the Empire. Tombs and sepulchral lamps were also unearthed there. This village was destroyed by fire, possibly during a barbarian invasion.
