A little history
The Bishop of Auxerre Héribert gave the church of Rouvray (and several others) to the abbaye Saint-Germain d'Auxerre. Pope Eugène III confirmed these donations in 1152. In 1171, Rouvray had a chapel, which the Bishop of Auxerre Guillaume de Toucy gave, at the same time as the church of Venouse, to the abbaye de Saint-Père d'Auxerre. The Pope confirmed these donations in 1174.
